At a time when working out how to live with COVID-19 is imperative for all organizers of commercial fairs and events, the International Exhibition Center of Kastoria (13,000m2) opens its doors on September 30, 2020 for four days to welcome the 5th Fur Shopping Festival. This four-day Fur Fashion Salon is where international and domestic buyers are able to find top-quality fur garments, leather goods and accessories for women and men at reasonable prices.
A relatively new event in the fur sector, the Fur Shopping Festival commenced in November 2016, aiming to boost sales on the threshold of the winter season. From its very first year, the Festival drew the attention of exhibitors and trade show visitors, making it a significant arena for commercial transactions. In fact, last year there were visitors from 40 countries.
Moving the date of the event one month earlier than usual was decided due to the increased demand for fur purchases on the part of trade show visitors and the preferences of the exhibitors that support the Festival.
While monitoring the developments of COVID-19 and the repercussions it has had on exhibitions and events, the organizers have implemented strict health protocols for safely carrying out the events at the International Exhibition Center of Kastoria.
“Ensuring that our exhibition events observe all health protocols is a necessity and priority! This is why the Kastorian Fur Association, in collaboration with TÜV HELLAS, has acquired the COVID- Shield Certification for the International Exhibition Center in Kastoria to ensure that both the 5th Fur Shopping Festival (Sept. 30-Oct. 3, 2020) as well as the 45th International Fur Fair to be held in spring 2021 are carried out safely,” stated President of the Kastorian Fur Association Akis Tsoukas.
The FSF is organized by the Kastorian Fur Association in collaboration with TIF-Helexpo. It takes place under the auspices of the Ministry of Macedonia-Thrace and with the support of the Western Macedonia Region and the Municipality of Kastoria. The Grand Sponsor of the 5th FSF is SAGA FURS Fur Auction House.
