Following the premiere, Margot Robbie attended the ‘Barbie’ photocall held at the Four Seasons Hotel Mexico City on Friday (July 7).
If you were in the mood for something other than another pink dress, then this will be the look for you.
Staying in the era of the ‘90s, Andrew Mukamal was inspired by the 1992 Totally Hair Barbie.
While this doll was marketed for her ankle length hair, Andrew’s main source of inspiration came from the doll’s abstract printed dress.
Considering psychedelic swirling prints are a signature of Emilio Pucci, this mini dress couldn’t be a better way to bring the inspiration to life.
The print was already bold enough, but I love how it is enlivened further with the flurry of ruffles defining the mini-length skirt of this dress.
Margot’s accessories gave us a trio of pink shades including a hot-pink pair of Chanel embellished earrings from the Resort 2024 collection, and a softer pink Chanel bag from the Fall 2023 collection, along with her now favourite pair of Manolo Blahnik pumps.
Crimped hair continued to be the story for Mexico City.
I have to say I much prefer this over the premiere look.
