Jonathan Majors has been charged with assault and harassment. However, the actor maintains his innocence.
In a statement to CBS News, Majors’ attorney seemingly downplayed the restraining order. He explained that a temporary protection order is mandatory in any assault case like this.
Additionally, the attorney explained that the 33-year-old Creed III star consented to the order because Majors “wants nothing to do with” the alleged victim.
“This is standard in cases such as this, and we consented because Mr. Majors wants nothing to do with the woman who assaulted him,” Majors’ attorney told the outlet.

The order of protection prevents Majors and his alleged victim from having any direct contact or by way of a third party.
Furthermore, it remains in effect until the upcoming court hearing.
Witness Says Majors Never Hit Alleged Victim, But Saw Her “Hitting, Scratching” Jonathan Majors
Last week, Majors’ attorney Priya Chaudhry filed documents in Manhattan telling the court what a witness to the alleged domestic dispute recalled of the March 25 incident. Majors and the alleged victim were reportedly being driven in a car when the alleged dispute occurred.
The driver reportedly said he saw the woman attack Majors around 1 a.m. “while she was attempting to steal his phone.” He agreed to testify that he never saw the actor hit the alleged victim “in any way at any time, or even raised his voice.”
The driver alleges he saw the woman “hitting, scratching, and attacking” Major. Additionally, the driver also revealed that Majors asked to stop the car so he could escape.
Chaudhry also says there are hours of surveillance video footage showing that the woman went clubbing and got drunk after Majors left her in the vehicle.
More Details About The Alleged Domestic Dispute & Consequences Faced By The Actor
Authorities found that there had been a “domestic dispute” following a “preliminary investigation” conducted after police responded to a New York City apartment on March 25, as previously reported by The Shade Room.
The reported victim was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries to her head and neck. Major was then arrested on suspicion of strangulation, assault, and harassment. He was also charged with assault and aggravated harassment during his arraignment the following day.
The alleged domestic dispute has already cost the actor by way of his upcoming projects. He has since been dropped from his management company Entertainment 360. Additionally, his public relations firm, The Lede Company, has also cut ties, as The Shade Room reported last week.
Despite this, Major has maintained his innocence. He reportedly claims there is video proof that he did not strike or injure the alleged victim.
The case’s next court date is Tuesday, May 9.
