More About The Reported Removal Of The Nike Ja 1s From Nike & Finish Lines’ Apps
According to the outlet, the Hunger Ja 1s are reportedly expected to be released on Thursday, May 25. The sneakers were reportedly listed on both Nike and Finish Lines’ mobile applications Tuesday. However, as of Thursday, they appear to be removed.
Additionally, after searching both retailers’ websites, it appears that Morant’s signature sneaker release, the Ja 1s, are also unavailable. Most of what remains from Ja Morant’s product line on both sites is the Ja Morant Logo Basketball Shirt.

However, Commercial Appeal reports the SNKRS and Hibbett Sports apps are still offering a raffle for the Hunger Ja 1s. Winners selected in the raffle will then have access to purchase the sneakers.
According to TMZ, resellers such as StockX and Flight Club still have the 23-year-old basketball player’s products for sale, in addition to the retailer Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Nike has yet to respond to a comment request, as reported by Fox Business.
The Footwear Retailers’ Alleged Actions Arrive After Ja Morant’s Public Statement
As The Shade Room previously reported, Ja Morant released a statement Tuesday evening acknowledging the disappointment his actions have brought his fans.
“I know I’ve disappointed a lot of people who have supported me. This is a journey and I recognize there is more work to do. My words may not mean much right now, but I take full accountability for my actions. I’m committed to continuing to work on myself.”

Morant’s statement arrived after he was suspended “from all team activities” of the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday, May 14, as reported by The Shade Room.

The NBA team’s decision was shared after a video went viral this past weekend of Morant brandishing a gun for the second time on Instagram Live.

Morant’s alleged actions arrive after he recently returned to the NBA from an eight-game suspension. This was brought on by the 23-year-old brandishing a gun in a Colorado club on March 4.
At the time, Morant proclaimed that his actions were a “bad mistake” and that he would avoid “bad decisions” moving forward, as reported by The Shade Room.
