Royal heartthrobs! Prince William and Prince Harry have surprised and impressed the world with their impeccable physique.
The royal brothers are the sons of King Charles III and the late Princess Diana. The pair welcomed William in June 1982 and expanded their family two years later with the arrival of Harry in September 1984. However, the duo’s world shifted when their mother tragically died in 1997 when they were teenagers. Despite going through their respective hardships, the siblings overcame their grief and blossomed into mature young men. As they grew up, both Harry and William weren’t shy about showing some skin.
While the Prince of Wales normally dresses in a dapper manner, he has gone shirtless a few times, mostly while participating in sports. In 2004, William donned a speedo as he played in a water polo tournament against Ireland. Four years later, he showed off his muscular back as he changed shirts for a polo match.
The Duke of Sussex for his part, has been known to show off his chest more often. When serving in the army, Harry popped his top in the hot desert sun while playing a round of rugby with his troop while on deployment in Afghanistan in 2007. While on break from the military that same year, Harry chose to relax and unwind down in Barbados and soaked up the rays sans shirt of the bright sun while on the beach. Harry later spent his time off on vacations in tropical destinations in the Caribbean as he was bare-chested while on a boat in the ocean.
As the siblings grew older, their desires to begin the next phase of their adult lives emerged. William was the first to settle down with his wife, Princess Kate, whom he wed in April 2011. The couple went on to welcome three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, who were born in July 2013, May 2015 and April 2018, respectively.
For Harry, finding The One took longer. After various high-profile relationships, he began a whirlwind romance with Meghan Markle in 2016. Shortly after they began dating, the pair took a romantic getaway to Jamaica to enjoy the sandy white beaches where the former British military officer went shirtless while enjoying the bright blue waves. After two years together, the former military pilot and the Suits alum tied the knot in May 2018. They welcomed their first child, son Archie, in May 2019. Their family expanded in June 2021 when the California native gave birth to daughter Lilibet.
While Harry and Meghan became closer, the Spare author’s relationship with members of the royal family grew tense. A family feud sparked after the couple decided to step back from their senior royal duties in 2020. The Archewell cofounders made the decision permanent in 2021 and moved to California to raise their family.
Matters got worse for Harry as he opened up about his strained relationship with his brother, father and more of the royal family in his tell-all memoir, Spare, which was released in January 2023. Harry recounted numerous arguments between himself and his brother over the years from their childhood to his dramatic exit. In the novel, he claimed that an altercation between himself and William took place after he called Meghan “rude” and detailed the extremity of the physical fight.
Despite not being on the best of terms with William and other members of his brood, Harry admitted he wants to patch things up with his family, but the ball is in their court.
“I want a family, not an institution,” the BetterUp CIO said in a teaser for his January ITV interview. “They’ve shown absolutely no willingness to reconcile. I would like to get my father back.
