Tristan Thompson is getting slammed on social media for continuing to not acknowledge his son with Maralee Nichols on his platforms.
The NBA star took to Instagram Friday to send a special first birthday shoutout to his son Tatum, whom he shares with his ex Khloé Kardashian.
“Tatum!! Happy birthday my son!” the NBA star captioned the post alongside snaps of him and the birthday boy smiling in sunglasses.
“You are a reminder of what life represents to me. You have taught me every loss comes a lesson and you are my gift.”
He continued, “You are my reminder of all of God’s messages. You are the reason that I began my story.
“The mistakes along the way are lessons not failures. There is no expiration date to reinventing yourself.”
Thompson also wrote that Tatum’s “sweet soul” reminds him of “God’s grace.”
“You are a future king my son and I am so blessed to be your DaDa!” the pro baller concluded.
While some fans thought Thompson’s message to his baby boy was “sweet,” others blasted the Los Angeles Lakers star, 32, for never posting anything about his son Theo, whom he welcomed with Nichols seven months before Tatum’s birth.
“Lol. Is your other kid you had at the same time gonna receive this public display of appreciation guy? 😂,” wrote one person.
“Wait don’t he have another baby same age lol ?” asked another.
“How about your other future king? Didn’t make the cut? 🤦🏻♀️,” commented a third critic.

“You should love and praise ALL your children equally. That’s what real dads do,” said another user.
Another commenter wrote that Theo “deserves a happy birthday as well!”
Page Six has reached out to Thompson’s reps for comment.
Although Thompson admitted to being the father of Theo after Nichols filed a paternity lawsuit, he has not publicly acknowledged his now 1-year-old son since.
However, the fitness model has been subtly shading Thompson and his on-again, off-again ex-girlfriend Kardashian, 39, on social media.
In March, Nichols shared a photo of herself holding Theo hours after the Good American founder posted a snap of the NBA star with his other three kids. (Thompson is also dad to son Prince, 6, with ex Jordan Craig and daughter True, 5, with Kardashian.)
Nichols also threw shade at Kardashian after the reality star threw a lavish party for her daughter, True.
Shortly after the “Kardashians” star posted pics from the pricey bash on Instagram, the model documented a beach outing with her and Thompson’s son.
“Happiness 🫶🏻,” Nichols captioned the post at the time. “It’s the simple things in life that are the most extraordinary.”
