Upon the death of Queen Elizabeth II and the ascension of a newly named King Charles III — his second wife got a controversial new title: Camilla, Queen Consort. And upon her May 6, 2023, coronation alongside her husband, she dropped the “Consort” and is now known simply — and controversially — as Queen Camilla.
