Margot Robbie’s all dolled up — so why isn’t anyone else?
The Aussie actress continued her perfect track record of dressing in character while promoting the upcoming “Barbie” movie at a press junket in Los Angeles Sunday.
Robbie, 32, posed at the photo call in a custom pink polka-dot Valentino minidress inspired by one of the Mattel toy’s own outfits, as stylist Andrew Mukamel confirmed on Instagram.
She even finished off the look with a yellow quilted purse and beaded bracelet, just like the doll.
Clearly, however, she didn’t compare outfits with her co-stars ahead of the event.

Ahead of the movie’s July 21 release, Robbie’s been showing off a parade of all-pink styles worthy of her character.
Ryan Gosling, who plays the movie’s main Ken doll, wore a cream-colored button-up shirt over a white T-shirt and black pants, while director Greta Gerwig showed up in a beige Prada sweater and matching pleated skirt.
Issa Rae and Kate McKinnon also went for head-to-toe neutrals, with the “Insecure” star wearing a ruched top and pleated pants and the “SNL” comedian in a checked three-piece suit, and America Ferrera sported a scalloped (but similarly muted) Elie Saab dress
Only Michael Cera chose any color at all, throwing a blue jacket over his black T-shirt and trousers.

Fans praised Robbie for embracing her character from head to toe — and shaded the rest of the cast for their comparatively drab duds.
“Only Margot knows her assignment. That’s why she’s Barbie,” one person tweeted.
“What’s going on with all the sad beige?” another asked. “Did they confused [sic] the movies? Did they forget they are in the #Barbie and not in the #Oppenheimer?”

A third chimed in, “why is margot the only one in pink.. make them go home and change.”
However, at least one fan suspected the sea of neutrals was planned, writing, “Bro she’s literally Barbie and I’m almost entirely certain everyone wearing beige but her is intentional.”
With the year’s most hotly anticipated movie hitting theaters on July 21 and much of the plot still shrouded in mystery, it remains to be seen what other tricks the cast may have up their (plastic) sleeves.
