On April 8, “Entertainment Tonight” shared devastating news: Taylor Swift and her boyfriend of six years, Joe Alwyn, quietly called it quits sometime a few weeks earlier. “It was not dramatic. … The relationship had just run its course. It’s why [he] hasn’t been spotted at any shows,” a source said, referencing the pop star’s The Eras Tour, which launched in mid-March. (People magazine also confirmed the breakup news.) The duo were rumored to be either engaged or secretly married, but Page Six reported that they had not, in fact, tied the knot.

So what went wrong? The breakup was largely caused by “differences in their personalities,” a source close to the former couple told People, explaining that “the differences in their personalities [became] harder to ignore after years together. They’ve grown apart.” Taylor’s enormous stardom was also a factor, the source added: “Joe has struggled with Taylor’s level of fame and the attention from the public.” Taylor and Joe “had rough patches before and always worked things out, so friends thought they would take some time apart but eventually come back together,” the source told People, but “ultimately,” the singer and the actor “weren’t the right fit for one another.”

Former “America’s Next Top Model” winner and “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Eva Marcille filed to divorce Michael Sterling, a lawyer, on March 23 following four years of marriage. “This has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, but sometimes life takes your journey in a direction you were not expecting,” Eva told People magazine in a statement. “Our children remain our biggest priority and the eight and half years we have spent together will always be cherished. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time.”

Michael issued a statement of his own after Eva filed, telling theJasmineBRAND, “I am not going to lose my wife. I am going to fight for her with every fiber in my being. I love her and I plan to show her how much I love her and that our love is strong enough to get to the other side.”

They share sons Michael Jr., 4, and Maverick, 3. Eva is also a mom to daughter Marley Rae McCall from a previous relationship.

After 11 years of marriage, Backstreet Boys singer AJ McLean and wife Rochelle McLean have separated. However, the parents of two explained that it’s only a temporary split. “Marriage is hard, but worth it. We have mutually decided to separate temporarily to work on ourselves, and on our marriage with the hope of building a stronger future,” the couple told Today.com in a joint statement on March 27. “The plan is to come back together and continue to nurture our love for one another, and our family. We ask for respect and privacy at this time. Separation is hard enough without the commentary, please be kind and remember there are children involved.”

Former “The Real Housewives of Miami” star Joanna Krupa’s husband of nearly five years, Douglas Nunes, filed for divorce on March 24, People magazine reported. The businessman, a venture partner at Westerly Winds, listed “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split and Jan. 2, 2023, as their date of separation. He’s asking the court for joint physical and legal custody of their 3-year-old daughter and to not award spousal support to Joanna.

On March 23, The Sun reported that Colin Farrell and girlfriend Kelly MacNamara have ended their romantic relationship after five years together. The Oscar-nominated actor and Kelly, a personal assistant for U2 guitarist The Edge, were ultimately done in by their hectic work schedules. “Colin is the man of the moment in film thanks to his role in ‘The Banshees Of Inisherin.’ He spent months working on that along with the last Batman blockbuster, where he played Penguin. Colin’s schedule took its toll on his relationship with Kelly and they quietly called it quits,” a source told the U.K. tabloid. “There is no bad feeling between them but upholding a romantic relationship when your work schedule is so demanding became difficult to juggle.”

It’s over for Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth. On March 24 — two days before their 12th wedding anniversary — the Oscar winner and the former talent agent announced that they’re ending their marriage. “We have some personal news to share… It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce,” they said in a statement. “We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness and mutual respect for everything we have created together.” They continued, “Our biggest priority is our son [Tennessee] and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter. These matters are never easy and are extremely personal. We truly appreciate everyone’s respect for our family’s privacy at this time.” A source further told People magazine of the news, “They really are the best of friends and this is such an amicable decision. They are so committed to co-parenting together. They are invested in their whole family and making this as smooth as possible for everyone.”

“Captain Marvel” star Brie Larson is single again. In a cover story for the April issue of Harper’s Bazaar, which hit the internet on March 23, the Oscar-winning actress confirmed that she and director Elijah Allan-Blitz have split. “I don’t have a next job. I don’t have a home. I don’t have a partner. I don’t have a plan. I’m just completely open,” she said. Brie and Elijah started dating in 2019 and went public with their romance in 2020. It’s unclear when, exactly, they broke up.

On March 3, news broke revealing that Kellyanne Conway — a longtime advisor to former President Donald Trump — and attorney George Conway, who’s long been critical of Trump even when his wife was in the White House, are divorcing after nearly 22 years of marriage. On March 4, the exes confirmed the news, announcing that they are “in the final stages of an amicable divorce,” adding in their statement, “We appreciate the many family members, friends and colleagues who know us, care for us, and support us. We remain united as parents to provide love, joy, comfort and protection to our beautiful children.”

Trump shared his joy upon hearing the breakup news,  writing on his Truth Social platform, “Congratulations to Kellyanne Conway on her DIVORCE from her wacko husband, Mr. Kellyanne Conway. Free at last, she has finally gotten rid of the disgusting albatross around her neck. She is a great person, and will now be free to lead the kind of life that she deserves… and it will be a great life without the extremely unattractive loser by her side!”

It’s over for “Vanderpump Rules” stars Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix thanks to a twisted cheating scandal involving co-star Raquel Leviss. As season 10 of the series — which debuted in February 2023 — kicked off focusing on recently divorced Tom Schwartz’s flirtation with Raquel, who was previously engaged to James Kennedy, news broke on March 3 revealing that Raquel actually had an affair with the other Tom: Tom Sandoval. TMZ reported that the fling resulted in the implosion of his 10-year romance with Ariana, who ended their relationship after learning about her live-in love’s betrayal. Multiple media outlets later reported that Tom and Raquel started hooking up in the summer of 2022 and that Ariana discovered the affair when she saw inappropriate text messages, photos and videos exchanged between Tom and Raquel.

It’s over for Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun. On Feb. 21, TMZ broke the news that the “Sk8er Boi” singer recently ended their romance and engagement of about a year. According to the webloid, the couple — who confirmed they were more than friends in early 2021 — have been off and on “over the last few months” and trying “to make things work” but ultimately realized “it just wasn’t right.” A source later told People magazine the former collaborators “have been on and off for the past two months, but are no longer together as a couple.” Avril’s rep confirmed the breakup news to multiple media outlets but Mod Sun’s rep insisted “they were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour so if anything has changed, that’s news to him.” Speculation that cheating was involved emerged after Avril was photographed hugging musician Tyga on Feb. 19, but it’s not accurate, a source told People, insisting, “There was absolutely no third party involved in the split.”

On Feb. 28, Mod Sun broke his silence, writing on Instagram, “In 1 week my entire life completely changed…I just know there’s a plan for it all. I’ll keep my head up + always listen to my heart, even when it feels broken Being surrounded by love every night on tour has been an absolute blessing. I have the best friends in the entire world, thanks for always having my back. See you on stage.”

After years of dating, it’s over for “Game of Thrones” star Maisie Williams and designer Reuben Selby. “The end of an era,” the actress wrote in a Feb. 23 Instagram Story atop a photo of herself with her former love. “@reubenselby_ and I have decided to end our relationship. Since we met 5 years ago, our connection always extended deeply into our shared, and separate, creative careers… and it will continue to do so.” She continued, “This decision is something we are so grateful for as we can protect the magic, that we can’t help but emit, whenever we put our brains together.” She ended it with a lighthearted joke, ading, “P.s no further questions, please, we must protect our children (my dog).”

Bam Margera’s second wife, Nicole “Nikki” Boyd, filed for legal separation from the former “Jacka**” star on Feb. 15, TMZ and People magazine confirmed. She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and listed their breakup date as Sept. 14, 2021. Nikki, who married Bam in 2013, is asking a judge to grant her legal and physical custody of their 5-year-old son, Phoenix, with visitation for Bam. She also wants spousal support and attorney’s fees. “Nikki Margera felt compelled to file for legal separation from her husband, Bam Margera, due to his continuing drug and alcohol abuse, erratic behavior, and due to his failure to provide support for her and their son,” Nikki’s attorney told People. “Nikki has put everything she has into trying to get Bam to stay sober, and to trying to preserve her family.”

The last straw for Nikki? Her attorney told TMZ that NIkki’s filing came after Bam visited their son. She was present and believes the former pro skateboarder was acting inappropriately and was under the influence at the time, even though he claimed to be sober.

It’s over for pop star Camila Cabello and Lox Club co-founder Austin Kevitch eight months after their romance first made headlines. “Camila and Austin broke up,” a source confirmed to “Entertainment Tonight” after “it was announced in a Lox Club newsletter that Austin is single again.” According to the source, the “Havana” singer and the dating app entrepreneur split because they were just too busy to make it work. “There’s no bad blood between them and they’re both just very busy in their careers,” explained the source. “It became difficult to balance that and their relationship.”

_

On Feb. 13, Lindy Elloway took to Instagram to share a statement announcing that she and Miguel Santiago-Medina were going their separate after tying the knot on season 15 of “Married at First Sight” in early 2022. “Sadly, it’s impossible to stay married if both people are not equally committed to the success of the marriage,” she wrote, adding that she had no regrets about “marrying a stranger on national TV.” Miguel, meanwhile, wrote in his own statement on Instagram that while he and Lindy “tried to be the person each other needed,” they “could never quite rise to the occasion in a way that was sustainable” for them both. “It’s a devastatingly hard pill to swallow when you deeply care about someone but equally deeply know that you’re not right for each other,” he wrote, adding in the caption that “divorce feels like you’ll never quite smile the same way again” and that “it’s a sorrow that just lingers.”

_

On Jan. 26, Kyle Capener took to his Instagram Story to announce that he and Alyssa Snider — who fell for each other on season 24 of “Big Brother” last year — recently called it quits. “As tough as it is, I still have a lot of healing to do in this next phase of life. Healing that needs to be done on my own, so with a heavy heart, Alyssa and I have decided to take some time apart. We want to assure you that this decision was made with a lot of love and consideration for each other’s mental health. We are still on good terms and will continue to support each other in all aspects of our lives and hope that you’ll do the same,” he wrote, adding that he and his ex “still love and care for each other deeply” and “look forward to the future with hope and positivity.” Alyssa co-signed the breakup announcement by sharing Kyle’s statement on her own Instagram Story.

_

On Jan. 31, Page Six broke the news that Dorothy Wang and Ari Kourkoumelis quietly called it quits back in the spring of 2021 — a month or two after they wrapped shooting the first season of “Bling Empire: New York,” which debuted earlier this year. According to a source, “It just didn’t work out. There was no major reason, except they weren’t really compatible.”

_

On Jan. 19, former “The Bachelorette” star DeAnna Pappas announced on Instagram that she and her husband of more than a decade, Stephen Stagliano, are going their separate ways: “It is with immense sadness, Stephen and I have decided to end our relationship as a couple. We have been working hard for a long time — both as a married couple and as individuals — and have come to the conclusion to remain separate,” wrote the “Flashbacks” podcast host, who shares two children with her estranged husband. DeAnna and Stephen wed in 2011 after connecting through his twin brother, Michael Stagliano, who competed for Jillian Harris’s heart on season 5 of “The Bachelorette.”

When The Chainsmokers’ Drew Taggart was seen smooching Selena Gomez in mid-January, it became clear that his relationship with Eve Jobs — the model daughter of late Apple founder Steve Jobs — had come to an end. Although there were questions about whether or not the two relationships overlapped — prompted primarily by Eve’s decision to go dark on Instagram as Drew’s romance with Selena made headlines — Us Weekly reported that things between the Grammy-winning DJ-producer and his ex “fizzled out” before he started seeing the singer-actress, and their breakup was “totally amicable.” They were first linked in the summer of 2022.

_

During an interview with Murad Merali that debuted on YouTube on Jan. 20, Zeta Morrison revealed that she and Timmy Pandolfi are “no longer together.” Things between them took a turn not long after they won the fourth season of “Love Island” last year, she said, adding that her ex essentially ghosted her. “I told him, ‘This isn’t going to survive if the communication is gonna be this bad. You could be an amazing person, and if we’re not able to communicate, it’s just not gonna work,'” she recalled, according to E! News.

_

On Jan. 7, Us Weekly broke the news that, according to a source, Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott are “off again.” A few days later, a People magazine source echoed that the makeup mogul “is not with Travis right now,” though “they have split several times in the past and this is probably not the end of their relationship.” The People insider went on to shed some light on what went wrong: “Kylie is very focused on her kids and her business. She is not a big partier. Travis is the opposite. He likes to party. They definitely have different focuses. They always did. … There is a reason that they never got married. It’s always been very up and down. And they have never even lived together. They have always had separate homes,” the source said, adding that it’s “never been an easy relationship” and that the mother of two “flips out” whenever rumors surface alleging that Travis has been unfaithful — which isn’t exactly a rare occurrence. The latest round of infidelity allegations surfaced in October 2022.

_

During an interview with People magazine that debuted online on Jan. 11, Shannon Beador revealed that her boyfriend of three and a half years, John Janssen, broke up with her in late November 2022 — a week after she wrapped shooting season 17 of “The Real Housewives of Orange County.” She thought they were “in a great place” when he suddenly “blindsided” her with the breakup: “I’ve never loved anyone more in my life. I was hopeful this was the man I was going to spend the rest of my life with. I wanted it to work out. I’ve never loved anyone like I’ve loved John. But clearly, he didn’t feel the same way,” she said. John, meanwhile, told People that ending the relationship was “super hard” for him: “I love Shannon very much. I have loved her more deeply than any woman in my life. … We have a connection that’s unlike anything I’ve ever had. And I know that for as long as I live, I’ll never meet anyone like her again. But that doesn’t mean we’re right for each other for the rest of our lives,” he said, calling the decision to go their separate ways “the right thing for the both of us.”

_

On the Jan. 8 episode of “Watch What Happens Live,” “The Real Housewives of Potomac” star Ashley Darby revealed that she and Luke Gulbranson went their separate ways after they spent the holidays together. “Luke and I are not romantically involved anymore,” she said, adding that issues with her ex-husband, Michael Darby, “affected” her relationship with the “Summer House” star, whom she described as “a trooper.” Ashley and Luke got serious fast after they first connected at BravoCon in October 2022. “I met his whole family. They were amazing. I fell in love with them — [they’re] so great,” she gushed. When host Andy Cohen suggested “maybe it went a little too fast,” the mother of two fired back, “You’ll have to talk to Luke about that.”

_

On Jan. 2, Page Six broke the news that, according to a source, Drake Bell and his wife of four years, Janet Von Schmeling, had separated after she “had enough” of his bad behavior and moved back to Florida with their young son. A People magazine source later confirmed that the model-actress left the former Nickelodeon child star “a few months” earlier. (Both People and Page Six reported that in the wake of the breakup, Drake sought treatment for substance abuse issues. His run-ins with the law — including two DUIs — have been well documented over the years.)

_

Initially, the “Real Housewives of Orange County” alum didn’t believe the rumors about Kenny, but she broke up with him anyway in December when she “had this realization that this is not going to work between us.” Two weeks later, Kenny’s “devastated” girlfriend contacted her directly to reveal that they were together after he spent Thanksgiving with Meghan and her family. The mother of three went on to say that there were “signs looking back” that Kenny was shady, but she “didn’t really like him enough to care to look at these signs.”

_

On Jan. 9, Page Six broke the news that Bachelor Nation’s Corinne Olympios — who competed for Nick Viall’s heart on season 21 of “The Bachelor” in 2017 — had split from her boyfriend of nearly a year, music manager Jerry Morris. “They were both very busy with their own careers,” a source said, adding that the duo also struggled with “trust issues that were weighing heavily on their relationship.” Said the source, “There seemed to be a lot of factors that played into [the breakup], but Corinne is doing great and excited to move onto the next chapter.”
