Exciting news for Cape Town’s safari chasers! FlySafair has introduced a new flight route connecting the Mother City and the renowned Kruger National Park.
Starting from April 2, the airline will operate twice-weekly flights to and from Cape Town and Kruger National Park.
David Frost, SATSA CEO, says:
“FlySafair’s new Cape Town to Kruger route is a blessing for inbound tourism in South Africa. With Cape Town’s international two-way passenger figures soaring to 1.4 million in the first half of 2023 alone, surpassing pre-pandemic levels, and the Kruger Park attracting around 4 million visitors last year, it’s clear that these destinations hold a special place on the global travel map.”
According to an article published by BusinessTech, FlySafair’s inaugural flight on this route will utilise the Boeing 737-800, with tickets starting at R1,851 one way.
Departing from Cape Town at 09h00 every Tuesday and Saturday, the flight is scheduled to land at Kruger Park around 11h30. The return journey takes off from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport at 12h05, arriving back in Cape Town at approximately 14h50.
FlySafair’s new route from the Cape to the Kruger not only contributes to an interconnected traveling experience for locals, it also links two of the country’s most coveted travel destinations, boosting South Africa’s position in the global tourism arena.
