Mold relocation
Tori Spelling is on a mission to move out of her family’s home after discovering an “extreme mold” infestation. On Wednesday (May 10), the mother of five shared photos of herself with her kids at an urgent care clinic on Instagram. “Let’s talk about MOLD…,” she captioned the shots. She went on to explain that the family has “all been on this continual spiral of sickness for months.” While she initially assumed the constant illnesses were a byproduct of having young kids in school — Tori shares Liam, 16, Stella, 14, Hattie, 11, Finn, 10, Beau, 6 with husband Dean McDermott — “when you have your youngest (10 and 6) so sick they are sleeping all day and say they feel dizzy even standing I knew something bigger was going on.” That’s when she had a mold inspection done and found the home was infested with “extreme mold.”
“Has anyone ever been thru Mold Infections? You just keep getting sick, one infection after another,” she wrote. “Respiratory infections. Extreme allergy like symptoms too and like my poor Finn skin rashes as well.” Elsewhere in the lengthy post, Tori mentioned the house was at some point “labeled a health hazard,” but “it’s hard to just uproot a huge family especially in midst of all feeling so sick … But, we now will vacate the home asap.” She said the family has renters insurance and will be looking to relocate to a hotel or other rental property “till we can even grasp what to do.” Finally, the “90210” alum gave a “non shout out to our public school district for repeatedly not believing our kids were as sick as they’ve been continually.” She closed her message by asking if others have dealt with “mold sickness,” which she said is more common than she knew.

Injuries and optimism
As Michael J. Fox continues to battle Parkinson’s disease, he’s become a leading figure in awareness about the progressive and debilitating disorder. Now, with a new documentary out this week on Apple TV+, he’s opening up about some of the more surprising ways Parkinson’s has affected him through the years — specifically, the injuries he’s sustained as a result of it. “I broke this shoulder — had it replaced,” he said in a May 2023 interview with Variety. “I broke this elbow. I broke this hand. I had an infection that almost cost me this finger. I broke my face. I broke this humerus …” Now 61, the “Family Ties” alum was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 1991. Through the years, he’s continued acting and winning awards while devoting lots of time to raising money for Parkinson’s research and expanding awareness about how it affects people. But he’s managed to stay positive.
“I just enjoy the little math problems of existence,” he said. “I love waking up and figuring that stuff out and at the same time being with my family. My problem is I fall down. I trip over things and fall down and break things. And that’s part of having this. But I hope that, and I feel that, I won’t break as many bones tomorrow. So that’s being optimistic.” “Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie” starts streaming on Friday (May 12) on Apple TV+.
Grand Prix dates?
The Miami Herald is calling Shakira “Miami’s most eligible bachelorette” after she followed up a recent hang with Tom Cruise at the Miami Grand Prix with a boat ride courtesy of Formula 1 champ Lewis Hamilton. On Wednesday (May 10), the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer was spotted boarding Lewis’ boat alongside a few pals. Page Six reports the pair met up at Cipriani on Sunday before Lewis arrived at her “20 million waterfront mansion” to take Shakira out for spin on the water. A few days prior, the outlet claimed she and Tom briefly attended but soon bailed on pre-race events at the Grand Prix. They were later photographed talking and smiling on a private balcony.
The outings come on the heels of her drama-laden split from longtime partner Gerard Piqué, with whom she shares two sons, Sasha, 8, and Milan, 10. Despite a Page Six source’s claim Tom is “extremely interested in pursuing” Shakira, Us Weekly isn’t sure the feeling is mutual. “Shakira had a great time hanging out with Tom at F1 but she has no interest in dating him,” an insider told the outlet this week, adding that the singer is aware the rumor mill has already started churning but thinks the buzz is “hilarious.”
“He was really nice, and she enjoyed his company, but she isn’t focused on dating him or anybody else at the moment,” the Us source said. “She has a lot on her plate and is focused on her kids and career for now.”

Memoir buzz
Taylor Swift’s fans are so sure she’s releasing an as-yet-untitled memoir this summer that pre-sales for a celeb-penned tome they predict is hers have skyrocketed to the top of book charts. The Flatiron imprint’s publisher recently announced plans to reveal an exciting star author behind a memoir/biography project that’s currently being called “4C Untitled Flatiron Nonfiction Summer 2023.” According to Variety, a document that’s been popping up on Swifties’ social media states the author will be revealed June 13 — one of multiple seeming clues that the lucky No. 13-loving pop star may have written the book. The book is also listed as 544 pages long and since 5 plus 4 plus 4 is 13, fans are taking the page count as a second clue. The third purported Easter egg? Taylor included the phrase “dear reader” in her announcement about the upcoming release of her next album, “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).” According to Variety, the fan theories have launched the book as high as No. 2 on Amazon’s book sales charts, where it’s held steady in the Top 10. As of this week, the untitled, still unreleased mystery-authored manuscript was already at No. 1. Alas, the outlet has also confirmed Taylor is not, in fact, releasing a memoir while on the road with her Eras tour and gearing up to put out a new album. In fact, the singer has no plans to release a book of any kind any time soon, per Variety.
Sober birthday
Rob Lowe celebrated his 33rd sobriety anniversary on Wednesday (May 10) with a gorgeous sunset selfie from a swim. “33 years ago today I found recovery and a tribe that has sustained me on my incredible, grateful journey,” the “St. Elmo’s Fire” star shared in the caption. “My life is full of love, family, God, opportunity, friends, work, dogs and fun. If you or someone you know is struggling with any form of addiction: hope and joy are waiting if you want it, and are willing to work for it!” Rob, 59, has spoken openly for many years about his battle with alcohol, which began when he was a teen on his way to stardom who was, he once noted on “Ellen,” “getting drugs and alcohol for free” thanks to his rising status in Hollywood. Rob got sober in 1990, two years after his personal life and caeer were rocked by a sex tape scandal, and he hasn’t looked back. He married Sheryl Berkoff in 1991, and has said she figured largely in his determination to get and keep his act together. “I had the feeling that if I was ever going to be able to make it work with anybody, it was Sheryl,” he told People in 2022. “Alcohol and drugs were only going to make that next to impossible.”
Sexual assault allegations
Country singer Jimmie Allen’s former manager has filed a lawsuit against the star, whom she claims raped her and repeatedly sexually assaulted her in 2021, Variety reported on Thursday (May 11). Identified as Jane Doe, the woman cites a business trip to Los Angeles in March of that year, when they were traveling to film an “American Idol” episode. She says that after a meeting, she woke up with nothing on, suffering pain and bleeding in a hotel room, with no memory of what happened after the meeting. She says he was in bed beside her and demanded she take a Plan B pill to prevent pregnancy. Jane also claims Jimmie sexually assaulted her while they were traveling for his appearance on “Ellen.”
In a statement, Jimmie denied her allegations, calling them “not only false, but also extremely damaging.” He admitted they had a sexual relationship for nearly two years, but said, “During that time, she never once accused me of any wrongdoing, and she spoke of our relationship and friendship as being something she wanted to continue indefinitely.”
Earlier this week, Jimmie’s estranged wife, Alexis Gale, seemed to reference the allegations on her Instagram Stories when she wrote, “continue the chaos while I heal in peace” and “my Instagram isn’t a help line so please stop messaging me about any third parties,” according to People. Jimmie and Alexis announced their separation in April after three years of marriage. She’s currently expecting their third child.
