Steven Bartlett, entrepreneur and host of “The Diary Of A CEO” (DOAC), has announced the launch of Flight Studio, a global podcast media and tech company. The new venture aims to redefine the industry by working across podcast development, creation, growth, and monetization.
“We’ve spent more than 3 years, and the energy of 30+ full-time team members creating a podcast growth platform designed to scale podcast media brands globally. Today we’re opening that platform up to new voices,” Bartlett wrote in the announcement.
Flight Studio’s platform leverages the success of DOAC. According to Mumbrella, the show has amassed nearly 400 million YouTube views. Its Spotify audience grew 94% in 2023, with each episode garnering over 2 million views. The show is projected to reach over 10 million YouTube subscribers by December 2024.
The company’s inaugural podcasters – culled from a list of DOAC’s highest-performing guests – include Davina McCall, Paul C. Brunson, Dr. Tara Swart, Africa Brooke, and Kristen Holmes. These podcasts will scale via Flight Studio’s proprietary data AI-driven experimentation across production, growth, distribution, and multi-platform optimization.
Flight Studio aims to maximize intellectual property expansion through products, e-commerce, live events, publishing, and rights management. Its commercial offering includes multi-platform brand partnerships and equity opportunities via the $100 million Flight Fund backed by Bartlett and other entrepreneurs.
Bartlett partnered with Georgie Holt, Acast’s former Americas Managing Director, and Christiana Brenton, Acast’s former U.S. Head of Sales and Brand Partnerships, to launch Flight Studios. Mumbrella reports that the company will operate global production studios in London, Manchester, New York, Boston, and Los Angeles.
