Andy Cohen is feeling confident about the new “Real Housewives of New York City” cast.
The Bravo executive, 55, praised the new “Housewives” for “working so hard” to revamp the iconic franchise at the Season 14 premiere party in New York City’s Rainbow Room.
“Reinventing ‘RHONY.” Wow. How do you do that? What a task,” he told the crowd Wednesday night. “How to reboot a show with a legacy as brilliant as ‘RHONY’ and with a group of all-stars who really made that show what it was.”
“And the answer seemed simple: just find a new group of women! No biggie!” he joked. “And guess what? We found the right group of women.”

The new season — which returns to Bravo on July 16 — will follow an entirely new group of diverse women: Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Dana Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank and Brynn Whitfield.
While the new group of women is new to Bravo, they surely know how to bring the drama.
A teaser trailer of the new series was released in May and it mainly teased conflict between Lyons and her co-stars.

“We definitely talk s—t about you,” De Silva bluntly told the former J.Crew creative director during a group dinner.
Elsewhere in the preview, things get heated between Hassan and Lyons while they were riding in a Sprinter van.
“I’m not going to be ready to talk to you. I don’t give a f—k!” Hassan screamed at the businesswoman.

In another moment, a smiling Hassan quipped, “Jenna can suck my d–k.”
Bravo execs decided to completely recast “RHONY” following Season 13’s declining viewership and backlash for its all-white cast, which they attempted to fix by hiring Eboni K. Williams.
However, things only got worse after Williams accused then-co-star Ramona Singer of racism.

A third-party investigation ensued and essentially put an end to the season and its reunion that year.
While there were plans to do a spin-off “Legacy” series featuring fan favorites, the idea was eventually squashed and replaced with the “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy” version.

Meanwhile, the new cast has received lots of support from former “RHONY” stars, including Dorinda Medley, who told OK! Magazine last year that she was “really excited” to watch.
“I think it’s such a beautiful thing to watch these girls from all different areas of New York; they are a very diverse group,” she told the outlet. “That’s what was so beautiful when they walked on stage.”
“You have to remember, we are in our 50s, so the world that we navigated was a very different world,” she continued. “Women today have financial power, they have children, they have devices!”
