Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, Nicole Scherzinger and more led the star-studded lineup of celebrities who performed at King Charles lll’s coronation concert Sunday night.
The concert took place at Windsor Castle on the East Lawn of the castle’s grounds and featured a variety of acts, including everything from ballet and opera to classical music and pop tunes.
Perry – chic in a gold ballgown from Vivienne Westwood – belted out a powerful rendition of “Roar” and “Firework,” while Scherzinger sang her own version of Christina Aguilera’s “Reflection” from Disney’s “Mulan.”
Meanwhile, Richie sat at a black baby grand piano to perform The Commodores’ classic, “Easy,” followed by his own hit “All Night Long (All Night)” to a cheering crowd.

King Charles III, who was officially crowned the UK’s new sovereign at Westminster Abbey Saturday, was seen waving to concertgoers throughout the royal soirée.
He was seated beside wife Queen Camilla as they took in the performances alongside the cheery and energetic crowd. The couple were seated beside Charles’ heir to the throne, his son Prince William, who was joined by wife Kate Middleton.
At one point during the evening, the Prince of Wales made an appearance on stage to praise his father – while also giving a special shout-out to his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

“I want to say a few words about my father and why I believe this weekend is so important. But don’t worry, unlike Lionel, I won’t go on all night long,” he joked.
“As my grandmother said when she was crowned, ‘Coronations are a declaration of our hopes for the future.’ And I know she’s up there, fondly keeping an eye on us. She would be a proud mother.”
Also spotted in the crowd Sunday night were Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince George, 9, who sat in between their parents. Their youngest sibling, 5-year-old Louis, opted to stay home for this event – following the hours-long coronation one day prior.

Lionel’s daughter, Sofia Richie, was also spotted in the audience to support her dad. “Off to see @lionelrichie🤴🏽,” she captioned a photo of herself wearing a pink pantsuit with black pumps via Instagram before showtime.
Other performers included Take That, Andrea Bocelli, Sir Bryn Terfel, Alexis French and Olly Murs.
The lineup was announced earlier this month, with the BBC saying in a statement at the time, “The concert will celebrate a new chapter in the nation’s history, with themes of love, respect and optimism, celebrating the four nations, their communities and the Commonwealth.”

The event kicked off shortly after Prince William and Kate Middleton took to social media with a very relatable message following the coronation that took place in London.
“What. A. Day.,” the couple captioned a short film via Twitter, which gave royal followers a behind-the-scenes peek inside their day celebrating the new King. “Thank you to everyone who made it happen #Coronation.”
The social media video, which was set to classical music, featured multiple clips with their youngest (and clearly very tired) son Louis, who went viral — again — for his slew of hilarious facial expressions.
