Savannah Chrisley says Todd and Julie Chrisley haven’t spoken since reporting to prison 4 months ago

Julie Chrisley is struggling with being unable to speak to her husband, Todd Chrisley, while the reality stars serve their time behind bars for tax fraud. On her latest “Unlocked” podcast, the couple’s daughter, Savannah Chrisley, shared that when she visited her mom recently, Julie gave her “30 to 40 days’ worth of letters” about her daily experiences and feelings as she serves a seven-year sentence in Lexington, Kentucky, and Todd serves 12 years in prison in Pensacola, Florida. “I don’t think there’s a single letter that goes by that she does not say how much she misses my dad,” Savannah said, per Entertainment Tonight. “They don’t get to talk. … So we’re like, what, four months in, almost, and being together almost 30 years and not going a day without speaking, to now going on four months is a lot.” Despite missing her husband, Julie is “trying to stay busy” and “trying to shield [her kids] from a lot of things,” according to Savannah.

It was tough to see the accounts of her day and things she’s scared of or nervous about,” she added. “Just, all the thoughts that go through her mind and not having my dad with her, that’s the biggest thing.” Julie and Todd were found guilty on federal bank fraud and tax evasion charges in June 2022.

Kim Kardashian working with acting coach after ‘AHS’ casting backlash

Kim Kardashian defended her casting in the upcoming “American Horror Story: Delicate” series at the 2023 Met Gala on Monday (May 1), telling Variety she’s working with an acting coach ahead of her first day on set. “We start shooting my stuff at the end of this month. But production has already started and I’m so excited … for the experience,” Kim said, clad in freshwater pearl-bedecked Schiaparelli for fashion’s biggest night. Asked if she was taking acting classes, “The Kardashians” star replied, “I am. Of course. It’s a challenge. I like to challenge myself. It’s really fun to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new and grow.” Kim’s last stab at scripted television came in 2021, when she hosted “Saturday Night Live” and kissed her then-future, now-ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson as part of a skit. Kim and Pete — who split in 2022 after nine months of dating — were also spotted reuniting at the Met on Monday.

Kim’s acting update comes after Patti Lupone criticized her on social media for “taking a role away” from experienced actors with her “AHS” casting. Sharon Stone later chimed in on the post in support of Patti’s comments.

Gwyneth Paltrow won’t recoup attorneys’ fees in ski cash case after all

Gwyneth Paltrow won’t recoup the cost of her attorneys’ fees in the high-profile ski resort lawsuit she won last month. A jury unanimously found retired eye doctor Terry Sanderson was at fault in the 2016 slopes collision in Park City, Utah, over which he sued the star in 2019. They also awarded Gwyneth the symbolic $1 in damages she sought in her countersuit. But her initial request to have Sanderson cover the years of attorneys’ fees she racked up while fighting him has now been rescinded, with Gwyneth agreeing to skip the legal fee request and Terry agreeing not to appeal the case, The Associated Press reports. The price tag on Gwyneth’s case has not been disclosed, but the AP points out that Gwyneth’s legal fees likely included the cost of expert witnesses and “high-resolution animated recreations of her recollections of the crash,” in addition to the fees she paid her lawyers from 2019 through April 2023, when an eight-day trial ended with her win.

Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss ‘didn’t want people to know’ he was depressed, says widow Allison Holker

Before his death on Dec. 13, 2022, Stephen “tWitch” Boss kept the pain he was feeling inside to himself, according to his widow, Allison Holker. “No one had any inkling that he was low,” she says in a new interview with People. “He didn’t want people to know. He just wanted to be everyone’s Superman and protector.” Stephen, 40, shocked loved ones and fans alike when he died by suicide last year. Now, Allison says she’s trying to stay focused on the couple’s kids, Weslie, 14, Maddox, 7, and Zaia, 3. “I could allow myself to go to a really dark place right now, and that would be valid and fine,” she says. “But I want to choose a different way for myself and the kids. … I’m trying to teach them — and myself — that if you’re angry or sad, it doesn’t mean you’re a bad person. We’re coping together, and that requires trust and being really vulnerable.” The “So You Think You Can Dance” alum adds that she and her family are still on a long, slow journey towards healing. “We want to be OK — and we are OK — but it’s taking a lot of work together.”

Page Six previously reported the former “Ellen DeGeneres Show” DJ and producer left a note behind that identified some of what he’d struggled with, though no details have been released.

Mariah Carey snags fist Tony nomination

Mariah Carey just earned her first Tony Award nomination on Tuesday (May 2), thanks to her producer role on Broadway’s new adaptation of the classic Marilyn Monroe film, “Some Like It Hot.” “She’s been an important touchstone throughout my life, so much so that I acquired her treasured baby grand white piano at an auction,” Mariah said of Marilyn in a 2022 statement about her work on the musical. “To see how this show continues to expand on the film’s legacy – pushing boundaries, promoting inclusion, celebrating diversity — I’m proud to help bring ‘Some Like It Hot’ for today’s world to new audiences.” The show leads the 2023 Tony Awards nods, with 13 nominations. Other nominees include Jessica Chastain, Audra McDonald (whose latest nomination marks her 10th), Samuel L. Jackson, Wendell Pierce, Sean Hayes and more. The 2023 Tony Awards air June 11.

Aerosmith announces farewell tour amid Steven Tyler’s sex abuse case, health issues

Aerosmith will soon say goodbye to touring after 53 years. The band — which currently features Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Joey Kramer and Todd Hamilton, most of whom are in their 70s — announced this week that their “Peace Out” farewell tour will kick off in Philadelphia on Sept. 12 and end in Montreal in January 2024. Joey won’t join the group for the final dates, as he’s focusing on his “family and health.” Steven has stepped back from performing in recent months because of an unidentified health issue. He’s also facing a sex abuse lawsuit filed by Julia Misley, who’s accused Steven of sexual assault, sexual battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress during their relationship when she was 16 and he was 25. Steven has maintained their interactions were all consensual. He’s also claimed his guardianship of Julia at the time of their involvement gives him legal immunity.

‘Boy Meets World’ alum claims director propositioned him in exchange for Marvel role

Former child star Matthew Lawrence says he was dropped by his agency because he left a meeting with a prominent director who asked him to take his clothes off. During a recent conversation about #MeToo and Hollywood on the “Boy Meets World” alum’s “Brotherly Love” podcast, Matthew, 43, told his siblings Joey and Andrew Lawrence, “There’s been many times in my life where I’ve been propositioned to get a huge role,” according to Variety. “I lost my agency because I went to the hotel room” for meeting with a famous director who “showed up in his robe, asked me to take my clothes off, said he needed to take Polaroids of me and said if I did X, Y and Z, I would be the next Marvel character.” Matthew says he left the meeting and was promptly dropped. As of Tuesday (May 2), he has not named the director or the agency. “Not a lot of guys in my opinion have come out and talked about this in the industry,” he added. “Now granted, it’s probably about a third of what women go through. Men go through this as well … I think our society is less ready to hear that situation is going on with men than they are with women.”
