Right on the Rocky Mountain Front, this museum is home to a wide variety of rare discoveries found nearby. In addition to the museum itself, this center has an ethos of encouraging public participation in science. You can take a look into their preparation lab, where they take fossils and make them museum ready, or sign up for one of their fossil digs and actually participate in the discoveries that happen there every single day.
The center also provides exhibits to other museums in the region, and is a part of Montana’s Dinosaur Trail, a connected route of paleontology museums and dig sites across the state.
