Arrested again
“Teen Mom 2” star Nathan Griffith was arrested for the second time in five months — like his most previous arrest, he was booked for strangulation. TMZ reported that the one-time reality TV star, who shares a child with oft-arrested Jenelle Evans, was busted in Las Vegas on Wednesday, July 12, for battery by strangulation. Cops reportedly received a call that evening about an altercation at the home where the former MTV alum was staying. After conducting an investigation, Nathan was handcuffed for allegedly committing the crime against a family member. (It’s unclear who exactly he allegedly attacked.) He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center. Nathan, who appeared on “Teen Mom 2” from 2013 to 2015, was previously arrested in Florida last February after allegedly choking his girlfriend and dragging her up the stairs.
Gambling problem
One day before he filed for divorce from Kim Zociak in May, Kroy Bierammn told police that the former “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star had squandered away a stunning amount of money gambling illegally. In police bodycam footage obtained by RadarOnline.com, Kroy called Kim a “narcissist to the extreme level” and said her gambling was a huge problem. “It’s probably been going on for pretty much our entire marriage and it’s gotten significantly worse,” he said. “In the last two years, she’s gambled away $700,000 — just in the last two and a half years. The total in the marriage was about $1.5 million dollars — and she does it online.” Elsewhere in his conversation, the former NFL player said most of Kim’s gambling was done illegally and claimed her financial losses had “decimated everything.” The duo’s split grew nasty as each accused the other of nefarious behavior. Shockingly, they called off their contentious divorce last week after apparently reconciling.
Money demands
Bravo executives are going to have to pay up if they want Raquel Leviss on the upcoming season of “Vanderpump Rules.” According to a Page Six source, “She wants to get as much money as she possibly can so she is playing hardball.” The reality star’s presence would add drama to a cast still reeling from Raquel and Tom Sandoval’s cheating scandal. While TMZ notes that Raquel is negotiating with producers, Page Six reported there’s an expectation that she will agree to a deal and join the cast in Lake Tahoe next week. “For the right price, she will be there,” the insider explained, noting that she’s also “genuinely concerned for her well-being.” Since late May’s “Vanderpump Rules” reunion — during which Raquel and Tom were crucified for their bad behavior — the ex pageant queen has been in a mental health facility in Arizona. “Watching the reunion was excruciating,” Page Six’s source said. “The way the other women just completely tore her apart and essentially wished her dead. It was just a lot to take.” Much of the cast has already started shooting season 11 of “Vanderpump Rules.”
Air traveler
For 13 years after he nearly died in a plane crash, Travis Barker refused to step foot on an airplane. That changed in August 2021 when he flew with Kourtney Kardashian to Mexico. Since then, the Blink-182 drummer has become much more at peace with being airborne. “Just flew for the 30th time since my plane crash,” he shared via the new Threads platform on Wednesday, July 12. “Wouldn’t be able to tour or enjoy life again the way I do without the healing love of my amazing wife. I love you @kourtneykardash.” Back in 2008, the private plane carrying the rocker crashed upon takeoff in South Carolina. His friends Chris Baker and Charles “Che” Still were killed, as were the two pilots. Travis and pal Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein escaped the wreckage, but the soon-to-be-father-of-three was burned on 65% of his body. He spent three months in the hospital and underwent 26 surgeries and countless skin grafts. One year after the crash, DJ AM died of an overdose. The last remaining survivor of the crash, Travis quickly proclaimed he would never step foot on an airplane again. But in June 2021, he publicly declared that he was considering going airborne again, even revealing that he struck a deal with someone and vowed to fly with them. At the time, he didn’t say who the mystery person was. That person, we now know, was Kourtney.
Postpartum issue
Robert De Niro’s girlfriend, Tiffany Chen, was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy shortly after giving birth to their daughter Gia Virginia. “When I went home, I started to feel like… my tongue felt strange,” she told Gayle King. “It felt a little tingly, just starting to get a little bit numb. And then I realized my face just felt weird. I didn’t know what the feeling was that I was having. It felt weird.” Postpartum, Tiffany said her face looked like it was starting to “fall down on itself.” “Like, my face was melting on itself. And then a week after giving birth, that was when it all hit,” she said. Tiffany went to the hospital after she started to slur her speech and couldn’t physically eat. “I lost all facial function the minute I got to the hospital,” she said. Robert, 79, and Tiffany, 45, welcomed a daughter in April. It’s the Oscar winner’s seventh child.
Mental health admission
Matt Damon grew increasingly frustrated and even depressed while filming a movie. His wife, Luciana Barroso, had to help him from a mental health downward spiral. “Without naming any particular movies … sometimes you find yourself in a movie that you know, perhaps, might not be what you had hoped it would be, and you’re still making it,” he said during an appearance on Jake’s Takes. “And I remember halfway through production and you’ve still got months to go and you’ve taken your family somewhere, you know, and you’ve inconvenienced them, and I remember my wife pulling me up because I fell into a depression about like, what have I done?” The “Air” star continued to refrain from specifying the film he was referencing. “Luciana just said, ‘We’re here now,'” he recalled. “It was like … I do pride myself, in a large part because of her, at being a professional actor and what being a professional actor means is you go and you do the 15-hour day and give it absolutely everything, even in what you know is going to be a losing effort. And if you can do that with the best possible attitude, then you’re a pro, and she really helped me with that.”
