Parts of the country have experienced heavy rainfall, especially in the Western Cape where localised flooding has occurred.

In Citrusdal in the Cederberg municipality, the bridge crossing the Olifants River into town from the N7 has collapsed and the river is in full flood.

The municipality says that the access road to and from the town had been washed away on 15 June.
