The most beautiful and quietest rally in the world celebrated its 10th anniversary with a 10-day event in Croatia.

The Nikola Tesla EV Rally was created to promote eco-friendly travel in Croatia. Named in honor of Croatian-born inventor Nikola Tesla, the nationwide event started May 19, 2023, in the town of Rovinj, and was followed by a drive in the inland of Istria to experience oil and wine tasting and lunch overlooking the vineyards.

On Day 2, the participants tested their skills on a private airport strip in Vrsar and then followed the visit to the artist hill town of Groznjan, and the charming city of Vodnjan and Buzet.

The next day, the rally continued along the dramatic Dalmatian coastline stopping in the charming city of Crikvenica. The route lead all the way across the brand-new bridge to Pelješac Island, visiting the stunning sinkholes called Blue Lake and Red Lake on the way back.

On the 5th day, the rally took drivers north again, visiting Split and yet another UNESCO site, the fortified island town of Trogir.

The Nikola Tesla EV Rally Croatia is about racing, it’s about relaxing, enjoying and exploring Croatia’s cultural heritage and natural beauty. The “must visit” place was also the MC Nikola Tesla in Smiljan, a small village where Nikola Tesla was born.

Some 95 percent of participants were visiting Croatia for the first time. They were amazed by the country’s natural beauty, panoramic roads and local delicacies.

On day seven, participants tested their driving skills one more time at Višnjik Sports Centre in Zadar with a “Skill Exam” before returning to Zadar for a visit to the old town and showcasing their cars at the waterfront promenade near the solar panel & light art installation “Greeting to the Sun”.

The final days were reserved for a visit to Krka National Park where the participants went on a boat tour to the waterfalls and stopped on a small Island Visovac where the Monastery Krka is hidden. The last stretch of the rally is only 40 km and ended in Šibenik, the cradle of Croatian culture.

At the iconic St. John’s Fortress that towers above the UNESCO World Heritage town and offers stunning views of the Dalmatian seascape, the official award ceremony was held. The winners of Nikola Tesla EV Rally Croatia 2023 were awarded and celebrated.
