‘SATC’ bombshell, confirmed

And just like that … Samantha Jones is back! Sort of. On the heels of Variety’s surprise revelation Kim Cattrall will make a one-scene cameo in the Season 2 finale of the “Sex and the City” revival, “And Just Like That…,” Kim herself confirmed the news on Instagram on Thursday, June 1. Sharing a link to Variety’s story about he cameo, Kim wrote, “Happy Pride 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🌈…..,” an apparent nod to her character’s “SATC”-era relationship with a woman, an artist named Maria Reyes. Kim has said publicly and repeatedly since 2016 that she had no desire to reprise her role as Samantha. That continued once “And Just Like That…” premiered, as did plenty of ugly back-and-forth about the feud between Kim and Sarah Jessica Parker. Whether the in-fighting is over remains to be seen, but according to Variety’s sources, Kim “shot her dialogue on March 22 in New York City, without seeing or speaking with the stars of the series, including Sarah Jessica Parker.”

Locked out?

Kim Zolciak wants fans and followers to steer clear of her online retail shop less than a week after she listed a slew of expensive wigs from her personal collection on the platform. According to one Page Six source, that’s because her ex, Kroy Biermann, took over the site as their increasingly nasty divorce drags on. “Please do not purchase from Biermanns Closet at this time until further notice,” the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum posted on Instagram on Wednesday, May 31. “I’ll be setting up a new website for all things Kim and kids,” she added. “Kim has no access and is locked out. So she wants to start a new shop with complete autonomy,” a source close to Kim told the outlet on Thursday.

Money has played a central role in the divorce dispute between the former Bravo star and her retired NFL player ex. In court documents, Kroy previously claimed Kim’s “time is so consumed with online gambling that she is unable to properly care for the children,” and asked for a psychiatric evaluation of his estranged wife. It’s not clear if that’s happened yet, but Kim — who has asked Kroy to submit to a drug screening — completed a parenting seminar called Navigating Family Change on May 25, People reported on Thursday.

Kanye’s ‘clean-up crew’

There was a time during Kim Kardashian’s marriage to Kanye West when she saw herself as his “clean-up crew,” working to repair damage caused by his erratic behavior, she reveals on “The Kardashians” on Thursday, June 1. “It’s the hardest feeling to watch someone you really loved and you have a family with just be so different than who you knew,” she admits in a tearful moment (via People). Filmed after their 2021 divorce as Kanye aimed a barrage of online attacks at Kim and the people closest to her, the episode sees Kim struggling to keep the four kids she and Kanye share from finding out how strained things have become.

“Sometimes I feel like if he were to hit rock bottom, that’s his journey that he needs to figure out on his own,” she tells her mom, Kris Jenner. “I used to run around and call everyone behind his back, and be like, ‘It’s gonna be OK, it’s gonna be OK, don’t worry. Just give him another chance,'” Kim recalls. “I used to spend hours and hours and hours of my day to be the clean-up crew. I just don’t have that energy.” In a confessional, Kim explains that although she’s “being accused of so many things” by her ex “and it’s so hurtful,” she doesn’t want her children to see her fall apart. “I really do believe in my soul that one day, my kids will appreciate my silence, my understanding and my grace, and I will try my hardest to keep it together at all times,” she adds.

Old dads club

Once again, Robert De Niro and Al Pacino find themselves on parallel paths, but this time, those paths have nothing to do with the movie business. In April, Robert, 79, welcomed his seventh child, a daughter named Gia, with girlfriend Tiffany Chen. And as Bob learned this week, his longtime friend and frequent co-star, Al Pacino, 83, is currently expecting a baby with his girlfriend, Noor Alfallah. Asked about Al’s baby news on the Thursday, June 1, edition of “Today,” Robert said of his fellow “Heat” star, “God bless him, very happy for him.” He echoed that sentiment in other interviews while promoting the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City this week. As for his own experience with fatherhood? “I have certain awareness — when you’re older you have awareness of certain things in life, dynamics, everything, family dynamics,” Robert said on “Today.” “You can’t avoid learning certain things and how you can deal with those and manage them and this and that, the usual. It’s amazing, but I’m very happy about it.” Al and Noor, 29, are reportedly expecting their little one within the next month.

Speaking out

Armie Hammer says he plans to start putting his “life back together” now that the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has decided not to charge the actor with sexual assault. The D.A.’s decision was announced Wednesday, May 31, after a two-year investigation into rape and abuse allegations brought against “The Social Network” star by a woman identified only as Effie. Citing insufficient evidence, the D.A.’s Office said in a statement, in part: “Due to the complexity of the relationship and inability to prove a non-consensual, forcible sexual encounter we are unable to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.”

Armie reacted to the news on Instagram, sharing a statement of his own. “I am very grateful to the District Attorney for conducting a thorough investigation and coming to the conclusion that I have stood by this entire time, that no crime was committed,” he wrote. “I look forward to beginning what will be a long, difficult process of putting my life back together now that my name is cleared.”

In 2021, Effie told police that over the course of a four-year, on-off relationship, Armie “mentally, emotionally and sexually” abused her and, in 2017, that he “violently” raped her. He previously denied her allegations, but after she came forward, other women went public on social media with allegations about the star’s alleged preoccupation with cannibalistic fetishes, among other things. In February, Armie again denied Effie’s claims, telling Air Mail the “alleged rape” was something Effie “planned” as a “consensual non-consent scene.” During the scandal, however, Armie’s marriage crumbled, he lost multiple major roles and he was dropped by his agent. This week, a source told Entertainment Tonight the actor’s ex-wife, Elizabeth Chambers, and their two children are now his “highest priority.” Effie, meanwhile, told Page Six she “felt a duty to speak out and file a report in order to try to hold Armie accountable for all the harm and trauma he has caused me.”

Mental health battles

As Bruce Willis’ family navigates his aphasia and dementia diagnoses, his youngest daughter, Tallulah Willis, has been fighting some serious mental health battles of her own. In a candid new essay for Vogue, Tallulah, 29, reveals she was recently diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, a mental health condition “that impacts the way you think and feel about yourself and others,” leading to “self-image issues, difficulty managing emotions and behavior, and a pattern of unstable relationships,” according to the Mayo Clinic. Tallulah was diagnosed with BPD while seeking inpatient treatment for anorexia, which she said she’s struggled with for the last four years but was “reluctant to talk about because, after getting sober at age 20, restricting food has felt like the last vice that I got to hold on to.” She links to the eating disorder to a previous ADHD diagnosis and subsequent medication, which suppressed her appetite, and writes about depression that’s been an issue since she was a little girl.

The essay has a happy ending, though. After her treatment in October 2022, Tallulah writes, “I realized that what I wanted more than harmony with my body was harmony with my family — to no longer worry them.” Though she says her family is dealing with grief as Bruce declines and her own “recovery is probably lifelong,” she’s now able to “be present in all facets of my life, and especially in my relationship with my dad.” Now that she tools to deal with the mental health issues that have long plagued her, Tallulah writes, “I can savor that time, hold my dad’s hand, and feel that it’s wonderful. That whole thing about loving yourself before you can love somebody else — it’s real.”
