ChatGPT has totally shaken things up in many industries, and education is no exception. Now students can get their whole papers written for them, even though it’s not really encouraged.
Some students have learned the hard way that ChatGPT isn’t always 100 percent accurate with the information it uses, but it’s pretty darn close. It makes you wonder how long it’ll take for it to hit that 100 percent mark.
Teachers are the ones feeling the most frustrated about this. While a bunch of them are genuinely worried about this new technology, there are some who are actually embracing it. Some lazy teachers are even using it for their own stuff, like checking if ChatGPT wrote their students’ assignments. And guess what? ChatGPT is already known for taking credit, even when it didn’t do a thing.
People are tweeting about this Texas A&M professor who learned this the hard way after they failed a whole class for supposedly using ChatGPT. Of course, that wasn’t the case.
Look, I’m as skeptical as the next person, but come on, assuming that EVERY single student is cheating at this level seems pretty naive to me. But hey, what do I know?
